watching the vix

The VIX is tredning down. going to continue to make short terms plays on this. Little pops here and there. Getting ready to jump into some more vxx calls when we get below 21. Maybe tomorrow if Vol stays low.

Sold the VXX calls yesterday at .85. Going to wait to see where this market goes. Need a big swing one way or the other before jumping in again.

Bought VXX Aug 23 call's today for $.70. Lots of talk about deflation but the market is at 10 week high. We should see some profit taking shortly.

I'm almost fully out of the BX Aug 10's for a 3x. Still long the stock with a basis of $11.99.

BX is misunderstood by the avg investor

What’s wrong with their description of BX? The neglect to point out the special dividend coming at the end of the year. This will take it to a 10% plus yield. I believe the stock has been punished lately because of the new way BX distiubutes their divs. That is the only way to explain it. Their fundamentals have improved, RE better, M&A better, more AUM.

Seen a big run in BX, it's about time. Own the Aug 10's, will trim if BX hit's 12.

Is it time to buy the VXX? It's at $25.70 today. Will jump in if we hit 22.

Bought more BX at 9.91. Really hope this works out. I'm a little worried about the value they hold some of their investments at. See FT article from last Thursday. They are holding freescale and a couple others much higher than TPG.

The gold trade still baffles me. trying to find a way to make money on it. Maybe buy way out of the money calls?

been a while

Have not posted in a while since I have not traded lately. Did close out my Apple puts a few weeks ago for a push. Sold the Aug 45 PCAR calls and the Nov 47 PCAR Calls this morning...before the big run up. Would not mind if those got called away. I'll happily pay my cap gains on that one.

Still a bull on BX and V.
